The space

After a day on the water or adventuring in the dunes enjoying all the activities Silver lake has to offer, you may just need a little escape. Right off the main road, your wooded retreat awaits at these two adjoining octagon houses in the trees. The Silver Lake Tree House is accessed by stairs from three decks. On the main floor are two of the three bedrooms and two showers/ bathrooms. Upon entry of the main unit, is the kitchen, dining, sunken conversation fireplace area. The living areas all radiate from the central hub of the fireplace, so you’re always in “Circulation” with an open floor plan and one of the bathroom showers. Down a short hall, In the adjoining unit, Bedroom # 1 has two queen beds, one of which has a full size loft bed overhead. The second bedroom, is through the second bathroom,, at the end of the hall with one queen bed. For the more adventurous, the third bedroom with queen size bed, is up the spiral staircase where the view of Silver Lake dunes is over the Tree Tops! Whether you're looking to relax on the decks, one faces the main road where you can watch the dune buggies go by. The other overlooks the patio fire pit facing the wooded back lot and full size Tennis/PickleBall Court, sit in the sunken fireplace nook with a book, or soak in the hot tub. Also of note is an adjoining lot with (2) RV 50/30 amp hookups for your camper rented in concert with the Tree House for a nominal cost per unit. Your camper will need to be self contained as we have no connecting sewage dump. You can rent an RV for set up and take down by Silver Back RV Rentals. They will fill the water tank and dump the waste water after rental. Silver Lake Rentals rents boats and jet skis. Be advised, the home is NOT ON SILVER LAKE. Rather, a short walk a few cottages down is our Happy Acres HOA private beach. Work on your tan or launch one of four kayaks and paddleboard into beautiful Silver Lake. Don't forget your sun tan lotion and life jackets. We have an assortment of sizes and beach wagons to cart your accessories. You also have your option of pristine Lake Michigan beaches within 3 miles or Silver Lake State Park within a quarter mile.. Afterwards explore the Silver Lake area, Mac Woods Dune Rides, Craig's Cruisers, Putt Putt Golf at Golden Sands, or Frisbee Golf. Be sure to visit The Fox Barn, a unique destination with a wine bar, outdoor patio, and farm market featuring locally grown produce. The landmark, Silver Lake Tree House has everything you need for a memorable stay. Kayaks are complimentary also but at your own risk. You will be required to sign Use and Waiver of Liability forms for both Hot tub and Kayaks. Our kitchen is supplied with electric griddle, X large Insta Pot, waffle maker air fryer convection toaster oven combo. Keurig type coffee maker/ drip grind combo and pods, some creamers.

Guest access

The Tree House is accessed by stairs and decks. Ample parking all around for dune buggies, side by sides, trailers, boats etc. The garage is not available at this time. The main entry is around the corner off Scofield by the garage. Follow the lit sidewalk to the main deck and keyless entry door. Be advised, the home is NOT ON SILVER LAKE, but rather has access via HOA Happy Ridge Acres Beach a few doors down on the other side of W Silver Lake Road. Or pack up your beach bag and drive to Silver Lake State Park, 1/2 mile or Lake Michigan at Little Sable Light House, three miles away. The fenced Tennis/Pickle ball courts are private for our guests only. Related equipment is in the storage tote on the court. Enjoy!

Other details

Please be aware, the Happy Acres Private Beach access is shared with seven other homes. Some of which are long time residents of the area. Be courteous and respectful, remember to leave the chairs righted and take waste with you back to the Tree House. We have two beach wagons for transporting your beach chairs, life jackets, etc. Check to be sure kayak paddles are returned with Kayaks. You may bring your boat or personal watercraft, or rent from Silver Lake Rentals, but it will have to be securely moored out in the lake, as the dock is privately owned. Be safe and enjoy.

You're our guest, we have tried our best to set you up for a great stay.
